Job description

Reporting to:      Jo Ashburner

Hours of work:  16 hours per week to start with. Usual working hours are 9am – 5pm (flexible) Monday to Friday. There may be a requirement from time to time to start work earlier or finish later as the role develops and depending on the ability of the candidate additional hours may become available on a regular basis.

Language: Fluent English a must, Welsh Speaker a bonus.

Annual leave:    28 pro rata on 40 hours pw including Christmas period and public holidays

Role includes but not exclusive to the following roles:

·         General office and admin assistance including filing

·         Supporting the Director with day to day admin duties

·         Market research into new markets

·         Customer service, written and verbal

·         Building relationships with new customers

·         Calculating quotes, issuing invoices

Duties and responsibilities

Market research, sales campaign strategy and database management

·           Identify companies within different target markets as agreed with the Director and perform market research as required

·           Liaise on weekly direct mail initiatives (planning, mail merge and individual emails and letters, printing, checking, signing and packaging as required – mostly done online)

·           Draft new letters using established template and company format/branding as required

·           Work closely with the Director to schedule calls, confirm appointments, report back on quotations made and outcomes

·           Keep the sales and marketing database up-to-date, importing new data, updating records and performing the necessary cross checks

·         Electronic, digital and manual filing as required

Public relations

·         Help identify and research suitable client and internal stories

·         Initiate, research and coordinate publication of social media sales posts

Marketing audit and strategy

·         Perform market, competitor and internal research as agreed with the Director, collate data and prepare sales/marketing statistics throughout the year

·         Contribute ideas and suggest new initiatives or areas of improvement

·         Prepare supporting materials as requested

Sales and marketing processes and standards

·         Comply with sales and marketing standards and follow set in house processes for routine work

·         Assist with the development of sales and marketing processes over time

·         Contribute ideas for improving sales and marketing standards and processes

·         Create and maintain a procedures manual specific to the RDF team roles.

 Miscellaneous duties

·         Company research as required for the Board of Directors

·         Ad hoc duties as required

·         Attend external networking and business events on behalf of the Company as required.
