Paris welcomes Nike House of Innovation

In 2019 Red Dragon Flagmakers was commissioned to survey and install a flagpole on the roof of the new NIKE flagship House of Innovation located at 79 Avenue des Champs-Élysées.

One of the many criteria we had to consider when designing this project was to provide visibility for the Client along the Champs-Élysées, to provide something bigger and better than the neighbouring Louis Vuitton, Apple and other high end retailers also located on the Avenue.

After risk assessments and our design process, we delivered, installed and made fit for use a sturdy and accessible 10 metre aluminium DANOMAST flagpole with gold onion finial, which we then installed to the roof top and raised the fully stitched flags we created in our Swansea workshop.

This project was delivered on time and efficiently - no mean feat working around pandemic restrictions..... and the results of our hard work and patience speak for themselves. 

Over four floors and some 2,400 square meters (nearly 26,000 square feet), Nike Paris, House of Innovation 002 gives unparalleled access to Nike’s best innovations, athlete storytelling and experiences. Like its predecessors in New York and Shanghai, the flagship — situated amongst some of the world’s most iconic landmarks — offers an immersive and digitally-powered end-to-end consumer journey. Offering one of the largest assortments of Nike footwear in Europe, modular store layouts that are consistently updated and exclusive Member opportunities, Nike Paris is the Swoosh’s latest proof point in its ongoing commitment to transform the future of retail, while serving as a vibrant center of sport.

Built to learn and evolve from the findings of its previous stores, the House of Innovation in Paris reinforces four areas of focus: uniting shoppers to a global community of sport, serving women with our most innovative product and services, creating more opportunities for kids to get active and designing a more seamless end-to-end consumer experience.

With the consumer at center and bolstered by a Member-first approach, the first Nike Rise door, Nike Guangzhou, curates a 1-to-1, personalized shopping journey that connects consumers to sport, their communities and one another. Nike Rise is the newest member of Nike’s innovative portfolio that includes the year’s recent pilot concepts of Nike’s flagship House of Innovation, which provide a peek behind the curtain of Nike’s biggest innovation moments, and Nike Live, a locally curated shopping experience for members.

With the intersection of sport and digital always top of mind, this city-led retail destination transforms itself into a responsive, data-powered hub to inspire and enable Nike Members in Guangzhou to move.

Using insights that Members have shared with Nike, as well as responding to real-time sports moments in the city, data will power the complete consumer experience in Nike Rise. That includes how a Nike Member engages with the Nike App in-store, and how the store looks, feels and flows throughout the shopping journey.
